How to Prepare for the Llama Leap

Info for Saturday:
Parking:
There will be plenty of it.  You can park at the highschool across the street.
Route:
It's a pretty flat course that will pass through some quiet residential areas mostly.  There will be an officer manning the only main intersection you will pass through at King and Cedar Street.Categories:
There will be prizes for top three male, top three female, and top three kids (12 and under--coed).
Timing:
We won't have timing chips, but there will be a clock at start/finish so you can keep track.  First three in each category to cross will be the winners, so we will organize the start to allow for "elite runners" to start first and those who plan to walk or run at a more relaxed pace start later.
Post-race festivities:
We have lots of fun things planned:  Activities for kids, live music, a llama, a photo op setup for you, a chance to buy homemade goods and support the women in Potosi Bolivia, and lots of delicious refreshments.  We also have some giveaways, doorprizes and will announce the winners so stick around!

We will see you on Saturday, feel free to bring your families and make a (half) day of it!

Bag Check:
There will not be an official bag check so leave your valuables in your car, or with a friend who came to cheer for you!
Registration:
Registration will start at 7 a.m.  Be sure to come early to pick up your t-shirt and number.  We will have additional t-shirts for sale after the race while supplies last.
Hydration:
There will be one about halfway through the course...and plenty of drinks and refreshments to hydrate and replenish nutrients when you finish.
